About two weeks ago, my mom came to visit us for several days. It was good timing for her to come and distract me, since Jon was busy with his class and I was trying not to distract him from all of his work. I was happy to have some mom-time, though since it had been a few months since she had come to visit. She stayed at home while Jon was at school and I went to work, because of this, I didn't have to use my break to run home and let Molly outside, which gave me more planning time. While at home, mom helped out with some cleaning as well as cooking bread and meals for us to have that week and freeze for later; what a great help! For some of the nights, mom and I got to make dinner together. One of the dinners was homemade Fettuccine Alfredo, yum yum garlic! On the weekend, we did a little grocery shopping as well as a stop by Puppy Palace! Puppy Palace seems to be a regular stop of ours whenever she is in town, it is always fun to see all the cute pups and wish they were our own. Sunday morning we went to Harvest for church and enjoyed a nice brunch before mom had to take the train back home. :( But, it was wonderful having her here for a visit and have someone to hang out and talk to while Jon was busy with his studies. Below are some pictures of mom and I on a walk on the grounds of our complex. The Pocket came along for the walk as well. She had fun running freely in the field, but got scared by the vines of the Willow trees...weird dog.

Yes, it sure WAS FUN to have that unexpected visit with you, mr jon, and the mostaccioli pocket a few weeks ago! But thanks to your dear hubby-roo asking me to pray for your and his busy week, i was alerted and was able to come and hopefully relieve the hectic nature of those days. It was a pure joy for me--thanks guys for letting me come and also for your sincere appreciation!
