And another semester begins...

...for both of us. Yes, both of us are starting new semesters. In December, Jonathon officially completed his first year of seminary (thank the Lord & woo hoo!). I'm pretty proud of my boy, and now he just started his second year this week. I will also be starting a bit of school this next week. I have felt led to take Spanish for awhile in order to make me a better teacher and for my someday masters in TESOL, as well as to help in ministry. I also worked with the Spanish ministry at our church during an outreach and realized how much I missed outreach to speakers of other languages. So, I'm finally taking the plunge and getting started on this language learning. Although I took Spanish in middle and high school, what I remember is limited. I can understand the gist of some things, but definitely cannot speak it to save my life. Therefore, starting it all over will be good for me and although I'm nervous, I'm also pretty excited about it. So, when you're praying for Jon's schooling, think of me too! Jon could use some extra prayers as he has a very full semester including 15 credits, 10 hours working at the library, and a field ed. at our church. Even with the busy schedule, I know it'll grow him and he will do a great job while it prepares him for ministry.
