God at Work

Lately, I feel God has been pressing upon my heart some different themes; one of which, I will share later.  The other theme is something like "Living my life well and pressing on to finish well."  I've been reading Nearing Home, Bill Graham's latest book, and it's been on the same themes.   I am only 25, I'm not retiring, I'm not dying, but I have learned that it's so important to be intentional about life every single day.  Like I said, I am not near the end of my working days, but I do want to learn how to live my life with purpose and what respected elders have to say from their own experiences.  Some of the things about God and faith that I remember the most vividly have come from the elderly.  I love spending time with older people and hearing what they have to say.  I mean goodness, we would be ignorant not to realize what great wisdom and strong faith we can learn from many of the elders near to us.
Today at church they shared a new "God at Work" video.  I've shared these on the blog before if they have been really meaningful to me.  I really encourage you to watch at least the second video if not both of the testimonies.  The first video is the conversion of the husband and the second one is an emotional update.

After Jon and I left church, we talked about the video and was amazed at both of their reactions towards death.  It's completely different from what how the World tells us to react.  I am definitely one who does not handle death well, I mean do any of us handle it well?  From this video, we saw how a Christian should view death, whether it is the person who is passing or the person who will be left behind.  Of course we will be sad in missing them, but isn't it wonderful how we can have the hope and assurance that we will see our brother or sister in Christ again?  I was encouraged and blessed by the videos in many ways and hope that you will be as well.
